New diversity legislation for employers particularly in the area of
age aims to make the working environment a fairer place for
everyone.Local Government Minister Dr Brian Gibbons launched a training programme for community and town councillors on 24th July 2008. Assembly Government research into the role and functions of Community and Town Councils identified training as a key prerequisite in enabling them to meet future demands and expectations.
