A Large Council wanted a training programme for a particular department of about 100 staff. The training programme covered all areas of Equality and Diversity training, but the Council wanted to make sure the learning was being put into practice and was going to make a real difference. We adopted a bespoke blended learning approach with 4 distinct elements.
- The organisation developed their own workflow processes to include equalities outcomes in every project
- A 3 hour face to face workshop was held for all staff to introduce the programme
- All staff completed 7 online modules covering all aspects of the Equality and Diversity aganda
- Everyone shared ideas and best practice about how the progress they were making in an e-community that was separate from their main intranet.
This integrated approach helped everyone work and learn together, and to ideas into practice to really make a difference
